Club/School Link Information plus Inservice with John Morrison
November 21, 2014
Reminder of our Club School Link Workshop with John Morrison on Friday 21st November from 6-9pm in Simonstown GAA Club.
Tutor for the evening will be John Morrison – experienced coach and Master Tutor from Armagh.
Refreshments will be provided for all in attendance and it is free to all CSL Coaches.
It is essential that all Club School Link Coaches are in attendance as this is an “Inservice Training Opportunity ” for them and it will verify each clubs commitment to avail of project funding from Meath Coaching Games for the Club School Link Programme which is a joint venture between Clubs and Meath CG.
Presently there are only 10 coaches confirmed to attend so i would ask all Club Coaching Officers and Club Secretarys to ensure this message is passed onto your CSL Coach.
I would like to extend an invite to the workshop for any club coaches who are currently coaching a team from U8 – U12s.
Please pass this onto your club coaches and if you could reply by email or text to me to confirm numbers that will attend from your club.
Again refreshments will be provided for all coaches and we would ask for €5 per club coach to attend the workshop. (Club School Coaches are free).
Any coaches who have completed their coaching hours for this Block of coaching (Sept to Nov 2014), I would ask them to complete the Report Document and return to me as soon as possible so that I can process payment for your coach.
Finally, for any club who has not provided coaching in their local school this term, through CSL Programme, I would ask you to contact me in the next couple of weeks so that we can plan for your inclusion in Block 2 of the programme.
Last year 2013/2014 we had 43 clubs who were included in the programme. They provided over 2,700 hours of coaching in 79 primary schools with Clubs and Meath CG equally contributing funds to the project.
Our intention this year is to have all 58 clubs on board in the 110 primary schools. To date 45 clubs are confirmed for 2014/2015 Programme.
Please ensure this is brought to your committees’ attention and that your club makes contact so that we can help get your club set up to be included.
We will endeavour to give you every assistance to establish this programme within your club and help create a positive link between your Club and Local Primary School.
I look forward to hearing from each club in order to confirm coaches to attend Workshop on Nov 22nd and also to include each club on CSL Programme.
